RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve and authorize the submission of the Subrecipient Eligibility Form to the California Department of Public Health, Tuberculosis Control Branch, in order to receive funding in the amount of $395,129 to support tuberculosis prevention and control activities, for an anticipated grant period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Subrecipient Eligibility Form to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Tuberculosis (TB) Control Branch is required prior to receiving funding in the amount of $395,129 to support TB prevention and control activities and does not require a local match. The Department of Public Health (DPH) will be a subrecipient of CDPH's federal funding for the Project Grants and Cooperative Agreements for Tuberculosis Control Programs award.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
CDPH has received funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for Tuberculosis Control Programs to be allocated to local health jurisdictions to continue support of TB prevention and control activities.
