Recommendation
Approve non-financial Memorandum of Understanding with Inland Empire Health Plan, including non-standard contract terms, for the Department of Public Health to provide health education presentations, effective upon execution through December 31, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item is non-financial in nature and does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net Count Cost). The cost of providing these presentations will be funded by the State of California through existing Department of Public Health (DPH) grants, depending on the subject matter and intended audience.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
DPH has offered health education presentations in partnership with Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) since 2015. Under the terms of the recommended Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), both agencies will continue to provide these presentations to the community to increase nutrition awareness and improve participants' overall health and well-being. Approval of the non-financial MOU allows for the integration of Nutrition, Education, and Obesity Prevention (NEOP) education into IEHP's health model, which promotes the County's objectives of working with other agencies with a focus on health and nutrition and allows DPH to meet community outreach objectives.
