FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Appropriation and revenue associated with this $164,050 donation will be included in the 2025-26 County Museum (Museum) recommended budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Xebec Realty Partners (Xebec) is the developer of a warehouse project located at 27195 Almond Avenue in Redlands, which was approved by the County Planning Commission on March 23, 2023. In accordance with the project's conditions of approval, the landscaped area requirement may be reduced by up to five percentage points when public art is displayed in a setting that enhances pedestrian spaces and building architecture. The minimum cost of the public art must be at least 1% of the overall project valuation as stated on the building permit.

At the discretion of the Director of the Land Use Services Department (LUS), if a public art display is not feasible or practical, the developer may instead fulfill this requirement by making a 1% donation to an agreed-upon party.
