Recommendation
Adopt Resolution to accept Euclid Crescent West, from Euclid Avenue to Twenty-Sixth Street in the San Antonio Heights area into the County Maintained Road System, pursuant to Streets and Highways Code Section 941.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). It will cost less than $1,000 to update the Department of Public Works (Department) records, which will be funded by Gas Tax revenue along with future road maintenance costs. Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the Department's 2023-24 Road Operations budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Department has recognized the need to preserve road access to the San Antonio Heights Basin #1 Flood Control Facility in the San Antonio Heights area by bringing Euclid Crescent West from Euclid Avenue to Twenty-Sixth Street (0.22 miles), Road No. 216925, Sequence 015 into the County Maintained Road System (CMRS).
At the request of the community, the Highway Planning Technical Committee (HPTC) convened on July 29, 2015, to discuss the acceptance of Euclid Crescent West into the CMRS. The recommendation by the HPTC at that time was to deny the request since the road was not constructed to ultimate width, as well as a concern for potential significant financial investment to reconstruct the roads.
