RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 23-612 with CML Security, LLC, increasing the contract amount by $320,000 from $420,000 to $740,000, to address additional need for maintenance, repairs, and emergency services of facilities' locks, sliders, doors, and hardware and add services to the Training Center, for the period of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026, with the option to extend the term by one additional two-year period or two additional one-year periods.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Adequate appropriation has been included in the Probation Department's (Probation) 2024-25 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Probation facilities require the ongoing maintenance and repair of locks, sliders, doors, and hardware (Services). To ensure the ongoing safety of both staff and individuals housed at these facilities, and prolong the useful life of facility locks, sliders, doors, and hardware, contracted services are recommended.
