Recommendation
Approve contract with Milestone Computer Technology, Inc. - Greenlake for the replacement of server hardware with a new server environment, hardware, services, support and five-year warranty, in the amount of $6,007,346 for the five-year period of June 13, 2023 through June 12, 2028.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The cost of $6,007,346 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2022-23 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This contract with Milestone Computer Technology, Inc. - Greenlake (Milestone) will allow ARMC Information Management Department (ARMC-IM) to replace the existing server hardware in the Information Technology infrastructure server environment that has been in use for more than five years and is at the end of life and support. The existing server has obsolete systems that are no longer supported, are unable to run newer applications, and lack the performance needed to support increased workload on existing applications.
