Recommendation
Adopt Resolution designating Arts Connection to serve as the County's State-Local Partner with the California Arts Council for the California Arts Council's State-Local Partnership Program for the period of January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2031.

Pursue County Goals and Objectives by Working with Other Agencies and Stakeholders.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Adoption of this Resolution will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the Resolution is non-financial in nature. However, adoption will allow Arts Connection, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to apply for grant funding from the California Arts Council State-Local Partnership Program which, if received, will benefit County residents through promotion, education, and advocacy for the arts.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The State of California Arts Council (CAC), through its State-Local Partnership Program (SLPP), provides grant opportunities for general operating support and technical assistance for County designated local arts agencies. Arts Connection serves as the local art agency for San Bernardino County. The CAC requires, as part of an eligibility criteria to receive SLPP funding, that the applicant be designated by resolution to serve as the local partner.
