RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Authorize submission of grant application in the amount of $204,217 to the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, for the 2020 Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program, from January 20, 2020 through January 19, 2022.
2. Designate the Chief Executive Officer or the Chair of the Law and Justice Group as authorized to execute and submit the grant application documents and any non-substantive amendments necessary on behalf of the County, subject to review by County Counsel.
3. Direct the Chair of the Law and Justice Group to transmit all documents and amendments in relation to this grant application to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors within 30 days of execution.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). No matching funds are required. If the application is successful, the Law and Justice Group (Group) will return to the Board of Supervisors (Board) to accept the grant award and request budget adjustments.
