Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Service Contract No. 4400021553 with Ziehm Imaging, Inc. for the maintenance of additional medical imaging surgical C-Arm equipment, increasing the total contract amount by $134,900 from $100,238 to $235,138, with no change to the contract term of December 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The cost of $$235,138 is funded by the State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2024-25 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Amendment No. 1 to Service Contract No. 4400021553 (Contract) with Ziehm Imaging (Ziehm) will provide funding for the cost of maintenance of additional medical imaging C-Arm equipment used in ARMC's Medical Imaging Department (Medical Imaging), specifically, for the maintenance of C-Arm equipment that is used in orthopedic surgery. The C-Arm is a medical imaging device that is based on X-ray technology, and due to its mobility, can be used flexibly in various Operating Rooms within the hospital.
