RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Accept grant award and approve Grant Agreement (State Agreement No. M118419-7100) with the State of California Employment Development Department to serve people with disabilities, in the amount of $993,000, effective upon the California Department of General Services execution through April 30, 2027.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Workforce Development Department (WDD) will use the $993,000 grant funds from the State of California Employment Development Department (EDD) for the California Department of Rehabilitation-America's Job Center of California Collaboration (DOR-AJCC Collaboration) program to fund existing staff and benefits and contractual services. Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in WDD's 2025-26 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
WDD was notified on December 16, 2024, by EDD in coordination with California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR), of the availability of $15,600,000 in Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title IV Vocational Rehabilitation funds for the DOR-AJCC Collaboration Grant.
