Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 4400011581 with Curaspan Health Group, Inc. for a patient placement referral system, increasing the contract amount by $92,500, from $479,324 to $571,824, and extending the term by one year, for a total contract term of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2024.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The cost of $92,500 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2022-23 budget and will be included in 2023-24 recommended budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The recommended Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 4400011581 with Curaspan Health Group, Inc. (Curaspan) will allow for the continued use of a patient placement referral system to efficiently transition patients from ARMC to skilled nursing facilities, acute rehabilitation centers, long-term acute care facilities and home health agencies.
