RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve revenue agreement (State Agreement No. 24-0292-000-SA) with the California Department of Food and Agriculture to continue to provide inspection services related to the Nursery Inspection Program, for a maximum reimbursement amount of $8,833, for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The revenue agreement specifies a term of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, for a maximum reimbursement of $8,833 from the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA). Sufficient appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Agriculture / Weights & Measures (AWM) 2024-25 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This revenue agreement with the CDFA, Plant Health and Pest Prevention Services / Pest Exclusion (PHPPS / Pest Exclusion) will reimburse AWM for performing inspection services related to the Nursery Inspection Program.

AWM currently performs inspections related to the Nursery Inspection Program, which includes inspecting nurseries throughout San Bernardino County for pest cleanliness, labeling, grades and standards as required by the California Food and Agricultural Code Division 4, Part 3, Chapter 2, Article 1, ? 6903.
