RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Find the Central Valley Juvenile Detention Center Secured Parking Expansion Project is exempt under the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines, Section 15311 Class 11 Subsection (b) accessory structures; small parking lots.
2. Approve the plans and specifications, and authorize the Assistant Director of the Real Estate Services Department - Project Management to advertise for competitive bids for the Central Valley Juvenile Detention Center Secured Parking Expansion Project located at 900 East Gilbert Street in San Bernardino.
3. Direct the Clerk of the Board to file and post the Notice of Exemption for the Project as required under the California Environmental Quality Act.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of the bid documents and the solicitation of competitive bids will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Central Valley Juvenile Detention Center (CVJDC) Secured Parking Expansion Project (Project) (WBSE 10.10.0967) budget of $1,029,000 is funded with Prop 172 one-time funds, as approved by the Board of Supervisors (Board) and as part of the 2019-20 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget.
