RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve Employment Contract with Nancy Nguyen, D.D.S. to provide dental services for the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator, for an estimated annual cost of $153,088 (Salary $133,120 Benefits $19,968), for the period of May 23, 2020 through May 22, 2023, with the option to extend the contract for an additional three one-year periods.
2. Authorize the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator or Undersheriff to execute amendments to extend the term of the contract for an additional three one-year periods on behalf of the County, subject to County Counsel review.
3. Direct the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator to transmit all documents in relation to contract amendments to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors within 30 days of execution.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The estimated annual cost of this Employment Contract is $153,088, and provides compensation at an hourly rate of $80.00, in addition to benefits consistent with other contract dentists within the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator (Department). Sufficient appropriation is included in the Department's 2019-20 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
