RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Conduct a public hearing to obtain citizen comments on the proposed substantial amendment to the Program Year 2021-2022 United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Annual Action Plan, with adjustments to include creation of a new project entitled Twentynine Palms: Improvements to the Multipurpose Center.
2. Approve Substantial Amendment to Program Year 2021-2022 United States Housing and Urban Development Annual Action Plan and direct Community Development and Housing Director to transmit Program Year 2021-2022 United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Annual Action Plan to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development within 30 days of execution.

Approval of this item will not result in the use of any Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). As part of the Program Year 2021-2022 United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Annual Action Plan, the City of Twentynine Palms (City) was allocated Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in the amount of $150,000, of which the City is requesting to reallocate $85,000 in project savings to fund a new proposed project: Twentynine Palms: Improvements to the Multipurpose Cen...
