FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as this Affiliation Agreement (Agreement) with Texas Wesleyan University (Texas Wesleyan) is non-financial in nature.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Agreement with Texas Wesleyan will enable Nurse Anesthetist Program students (Anesthetists) to obtain specialized clinical training at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC). The volume and patient mix at ARMC will provide a suitable educational opportunity to the Texas Wesleyan students. Nurse Anesthetists programs have certain requirements students must meet including clinical rotations to complete the programs to obtain certifications. In order to meet these requirements, it is customary for educational institutions that operate these programs to provide students with educational opportunities at other facilities to supplement those available at the institution.

As a teaching hospital, ARMC has a number of agreements with universities and colleges, junior colleges, and technical and trade schools to provide on-site clinical training for students. The Agreement with Texas Wesleyan ensures that its Anest...
