Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 3 to Master Agreement No. 20-1071 with CareFusion Solutions, LLC, for automated dispensing cabinets for the Fontana Family Health Clinic, increasing the total amount by $22,560, from $3,201,230 to $3,223,790, plus applicable tax with no change to the original five-year period beginning on the first day of the month following the date of the County's acceptance of the system.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The additional cost of $22,560 plus applicable taxes are funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2021-22 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval of this amendment will provide for two automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis) from CareFusion Solutions, LLC (CareFusion) for ARMC's Fontana Family Health Clinic. ARMC uses Pyxis in multiple areas within the hospital, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health Units, and other off-site Family Health Centers, dispensing more than 2 million doses per year.
