Recommendation
Approve non-financial Partnership Agreement with Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County to collaboratively apply to the United States Environmental Protection Agency for a grant program for a term of three years following the grant award date.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). This is a non-financial Partnership Agreement between Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County (CAP) and the County, through its Workforce Development Department (WDD) in support of CAP's grant application to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). If the grant is awarded to CAP, WDD will not be a sub-recipient of grant funds.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Under the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, the EPA created the Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Grant Program (Program) to help communities address a range of environmental and climate justice issues, including reducing and preventing pollution, and expanding access to good jobs and economic opportunity through workforce development.
