BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 26-62 (Agreement) with Philips Healthcare, a division of Philips North America LLC (Philips), will add preventive maintenance services for five additional Philips diagnostic ultrasound equipment. Following execution of the original agreement, ARMC identified additional Philips EPIQ Elite G diagnostic ultrasound equipment that were not included in the original maintenance inventory. This amendment incorporates the omitted equipment into the existing agreement to ensure continued operational reliability, equipment performance, and patient care services.
The Philips EPIQ Elite G Diagnostic Ultrasound imaging system is a high-end diagnostic ultrasound used for comprehensive heart and vascular assessment, providing clear images for diagnosing heart conditions, monitoring blood flow, assessing heart function, evaluating plaque, and examining blood vessels for disease, using advanced features like 3D/4D imaging, elastography for enhanced clarity, and workflow.
On January 27, 2026 (Item No. 15), the Board of Supervisors approved Agreement with Philips, including non-standard terms, for preventive maintenance service for EPIQ Elite G Diagnostic Ultrasound imaging system, in an amount not to exceed $307,549.55, for the term January 27, 2026 through January 26, 2030.
ARMC recommends approval of the amendment with Philips to ensure all Philips diagnostic ultrasound equipment utilized in patient care receives manufacturer-recommended preventive maintenance services. Approval of this amendment will support the continued delivery of safe, reliable, and high-quality diagnostic imaging services, furthering ARMC’s mission to provide for the safety, health, and social service needs of County residents while operating in a fiscally responsible and business-like manner.
