RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Grant Agreement No. 22-1174 (State Subaward No. C22L0613) with the State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation - Division of Boating and Waterways, to extend the performance period by one year, from March 31, 2024 through March 31, 2025, with no change in the award amount of $150,000, for the purchase of a patrol boat and transport trailer.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The amendment will extend the original performance period by one year, from March 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025, with no change to the grant award amount of $150,000 for the reimbursement of the purchase of a patrol boat and transport trailer. Sufficient appropriation will be included in the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator's (Department) 2024-2025 recommended budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) provides funding from the Federal Recreational Boating Safety Grant to local law enforcement agencies through its Boating Safety and Enforcement Equipment Grant Program to finance the total or partial purchase of boats and equipment for use in boating law enforcement activities.
