Approve related expenses in an amount not to exceed $1,018 for two Preschool Services Department Policy Council members to participate in the National Head Start Association 2021 Virtual Parent and Family Engagement Conference from December 13, 2021 through December 16, 2021.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The estimated cost for two Preschool Services Department (PSD) Policy Council members to participate in the National Head Start Association (NHSA) 2021 Virtual Parent and Family Engagement Conference will not exceed $1,018. These expenses are 100% funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in PSD's 2021-22 budget.

The NHSA's 2021 Virtual Parent and Family Engagement Conference is an annual conference that focuses on how Head Start parents, families, and those who work with parents can best partner to promote both family engagement and children's development. NHSA's mission is to unite, inspire, and support the Head Start programs as a leader in early childhood development and education actively committed to building valued partnerships and collaborations.
