RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Adopt Resolution to establish a "No Parking Zone" pursuant to County Code Section 52.0118(a):
a. Along the east side of State Street, from Adams Street south to Highland Avenue, approximately 525 feet, in the Muscoy area.
b. Along the west side of State Street, from Adams Street south approximately 315 feet, in the Muscoy area.
2. Direct the County Road Commissioner to perform such acts as necessary to implement the terms of the Resolution.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The proposed resolution will not result in significant costs to the Department of Public Works (Department). The minor administrative costs to update Department records and the cost to install and maintain signage for the "No Parking" zones are minimal and will be funded by Gas Tax Revenue. Sufficient appropriation is included in the Department's 2021-22 Road Operations budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
A request to enforce a no-parking zone was received by the Sheriff's Department and County Code Enforcement prompting a traffic engineering investigation by the Department on State Street, between Highland Avenue and Adams Street, in the Muscoy area. The request was made due to food truck vendors parking along the sides of the road causing traffic conditions.
