RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Flood Control District, approve Amendment No. 2 to Contract No. 4400028766 with Upland Rock, Inc., for material dumping services, increasing the total contract amount by $500,000, from $1,000,000, to an amount not to exceed $1,500,000 over the contract term and updating contract requirements with no change to the contract term of July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2030.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The San Bernardino County Flood Control District (District) is funded by property tax revenue, fee revenue, and local, state, and federal funding. Sufficient appropriation has been included in the District's 2025-26 budget and will also be included in future recommended budgets. Amendment No. 2 will increase the not to exceed contract amount by $500,000, from $1,000,000 to $1,500,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The District maintains all flood control facilities (channels and basins) by removing debris and sediment. Due to the Line Fire burn scar, recent storms deposited significantly higher volumes of material into these facilities. To support clean-out efforts, Upland Rock, Inc.
