RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 23-244 (Grant Agreement No. 22-10792) from the California Department of Public Health, for the Enhanced Integration Project, extending the contract an additional five months, for a total contract period of January 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024, with no change to the original award amount of $697,132.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Approval of the amended grant agreement from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) will not result in any change to the total grant award amount of $697,132. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Public Health's (DPH) 2023-24 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
DPH has received HIV program funding since 1985 to educate on HIV prevention and provide better treatment for HIV positive people. DPH will use the CDPH grant award to implement the Enhanced Integration Project (Project), to address HIV prevention within the County.

DPH's activities and services under the Project will include HIV counseling and testing, Hepatitis C testing, Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) navigation services, Prevention with Positives program which provides health and risk reduction education in medical settings, Partner Services, linking HIV positive persons to tre...
