RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 2 to Contract No. 25-102 (Award No. 6 H80CS00657-24-04), from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resource and Services Administration, for the Service Area Competition under the Health Center Program, accepting an amended grant award for continued operational support of the department's Federally Qualified Health Centers, increasing the amount by $1,245,920, from $1,245,920 to $2,491,840, with no change to the period of March 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The amended grant award in the amount $1,245,920 from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) does not require a local match. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Public Health's (DPH) 2025-26 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

Every three years, health centers apply for HRSA funding under the Health Center Program's Service Area Competition (Competition).
