RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Adopt Ordinance relating to setting the special election for the initiative/petition entitled "The San Bernardino County Supervisor Compensation Reduction and Term Limits Initiative" on the November 3, 2020 General Election ballot, which was introduced on July 14, 2020, Item No. 68.
2. Direct the Registrar of Voters to print initiative/petition entitled "The San Bernardino County Supervisor Compensation Reduction and Term Limits Initiative", which was introduced on July 14, 2020, Item No. 68., in the Voter Information Guide that is mailed to every active voter in the county and placed on file and made available for public inspection in the offices of the County Clerk, the Registrar of Voters, and the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item may result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Registrar of Voters (ROV) estimates all costs plus overhead related to conducting the election for the initiative/petition will be about $2.7 million. If additional appropriation is necessary, a request for additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) will be submitted at a later date.
