Adopt the 2026 County and Chief Executive Officer Goals and Objectives, effective upon Board approval.

Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost).

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is presenting the recommended 2026 Goals and Objectives (Goals and Objectives) for consideration by the Board of Supervisors (Board) to allow an opportunity for public input prior to Board action to accept or amend the Goals and Objectives as submitted (Attachment A).

 

The proposed revisions address the need for modernization and reflect current initiatives and areas of focus. Once adopted, the Goals and Objectives serve as the Board’s direction to the organization in terms of priorities and will serve as the basis for the Board’s evaluation of the CEO’s performance.  The Goals and Objectives shall be effective upon Board approval and reflected in Board agenda items beginning with the February 10, 2026 Board meeting.
