Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to a Cooperative Agreement No. 20-617 with the City of Highland under which the County of San Bernardino's contribution to the City of Highland increases by an amount not-to-exceed $1,782, from $4,500 to $6,282, to fund the County's portion of grant application preparation costs for the Active Transportation Program Cycle 5 Call for Projects.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The total estimated cost for preparation of the grant application has increased from $50,000 to $68,000, plus a 10% contingency if needed. The City of Highland (Highland) will provide a revised amount of $30,600 plus contingency as its financial contribution, the City of San Bernardino (San Bernardino) will provide $31,280 plus contingency, and the County will provide $1,620, plus a contingency of 10% for a total up-to $1,782, based on the proportion of the proposed Active Transportation Program project located in each jurisdiction. The Highland/San Bernardino Bi-City Bikeway and Walkway Connector (Project) will be located 9% in the County, 46% in San Bernardino, and 45% in Highland.
