RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Waive County Policy 04-01 and adopt the 2025-26 San Bernardino County Legislative Platform, which outlines San Bernardino County's legislative and political advocacy priorities for 2025-26.
2. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to approve any minor modifications that do not substantially amend the approved 2025-26 Platform, ensuring flexibility and timely responsiveness.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
County Policy 04-01, requires the Board of Supervisors (Board) to develop an annual legislative platform supporting legislation that promotes the effectiveness and economy of operations of San Bernardino County and benefits its citizens. Staff recommends shifting to a two-year legislative platform to allow the County to better align its advocacy efforts with the two-year legislative session, ensuring greater continuity and efficiency in pursuing its legislative goals.
