RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Authorize the purchase of invasive weed control equipment, unbudgeted fixed assets, in an amount not to exceed $20,000, to provide invasive weed control services to San Bernardino County Department of Public Works.
2. Authorize the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector to post budget adjustments, as indicated in the Financial Impact section.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Department of Agriculture / Weights & Measures (AWM) will transfer appropriation from program supplies to fund the purchase of the invasive weed control equipment, as reflected below. This item authorizes the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector to post adjustments to AWM's 2023-24 budget as follows:

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This item seeks approval for a budget adjustment of $20,000 to purchase invasive weed control equipment, which will be used to fulfill an existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the San Bernardino County Department of Public Works (DPW) to provide weed control services.
