Recommendation
Adopt a blanket resolution to designate the Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors as the authorized signatory to execute specified Master funding agreements and any amendments thereto, with the California Department of Transportation on behalf of the County of San Bernardino:

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). There is no financial impact with adoption of the resolution. This item provides the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) formal notification that the Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors (Board) is the authorized signatory in executing agreements and related amendments with Caltrans on behalf of the County of San Bernardino.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This blanket resolution will eliminate the need to include a specific recommendation in Board items under which the Board grants authority for the Chairperson of the Board to sign specific Caltrans agreements listed below. Currently, whenever these agreements are presented to the Board for approval, Caltrans requires the County to specifically include a recommendation authorizing the Chairperson to sign the agreements.
