Reject All Bids and Re-Advertise for Dola Ditch and Lanzit Ditch Bridge Replacement Project on National Trails Highway in the Amboy Area

RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Reject all bids received on April 25, 2024 for the Dola Ditch and Lanzit Ditch Bridge Replacement Project on National Trails Highway and find that the rejection of the bids is in the best general interest of the County.
2. Approve the revised plans and specifications for the Dola Ditch and Lanzit Ditch Bridge Replacement Project on National Trails Highway, as signed and sealed by a registered civil engineer.
3. Authorize the Director of the Department of Public Works to re-advertise the Dola Ditch and Lanzit Ditch Bridge Replacement Project for formal bids.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Dola Ditch and Lanzit Ditch Bridge Replacement Project on National Trails Highway in the Amboy area (Project) is funded by Discretionary General Funding allocated to the Department of Public Works (Department) in the 2023-24 recommended budget for the restoration of the Dola and Lanzit Ditch Bridges. Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the Department's 2023-24 Road Operations budget (6650002000 12H15220) and will be included in future recommended budgets.
