Recommendation
Approve contracts with the following vendors on an as-needed, fee-for-service basis for post-acute care services in the aggregate not-to-exceed amount of $3,500,000 for the period of April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2030:
1. Mt. Rubidouxidence OPCO, LLC dba Jurupa Hills Post-Acute
2. Watermanidence OPCO, LLC dba Waterman Canyon Post-Acute

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the total aggregate cost of $3,500,000 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2024-25 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval of these contracts will allow ARMC to develop a panel of skilled nursing facilities (SNF) to which ARMC may transfer certain indigent patients who no longer meet the criteria for inpatient admission to an acute general care hospital and have the need for SNF services, including rehabilitative, wound, IV antibiotic therapy, dietary, sitter for behavioral patients, and other therapies who have been prescribed these services as a result of an illness, accident, surgery, or disability that do not have the financial resources to pay fo...
