Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 5 to Agreement No. 22-795 (State Agreement No. 22-10281) with the California Department of Public Health, for the Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program, increasing the total agreement amount by $1,167,555, from $41,741,301 to $42,908,856, with no change to the term of October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Amendment No. 5 to Agreement No. 22-795 (State Agreement No. 22-10281) (Agreement) increases the total agreement amount by $1,167,555, from $41,741,301 to $42,908,856, with no change to the term of October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2025. This award does not require a local match. The additional funding will support the Department of Public Health's (DPH) Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) with personnel and facility costs and general expenses (e.g., equipment, professional certifications, program materials, etc.). Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in DPH's 2024-25 budget and will be included in the 2025-26 recommended budget.
