RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 24-978 with Vellutini Corporation dba Royal Electric Company, for the Chino Airport Light Vault Upgrade Project, increasing the total contract amount by $86,461, from $234,659 to $321,120, to incorporate additional labor, materials, and equipment required to replace the existing Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring System (Four votes required).

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Chino Airport Light Vault Upgrade Project (Project) (WBSE 10.10.1461) is fully funded through a combination of sources, including $576,706 from the Department of Airports' Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant awards, $32,039 from the California Department of Transportation, and $32,039 from the Airport Capital Improvement Fund, as approved by the Board of Supervisors (Board) as part of the Capital Improvement Program budget on June 10, 2025 (Item No. 136).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
On October 8, 2024 (Item No. 27), as the result of Request for Proposals No. ANE223-ANE2C-5281, the Board awarded construction Contract No. 24-978 (Contract) to Vellutini Corporation dba Royal Electric Company (Royal Electric) in the amount of $222,222 for the Project.
