RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Employment Contract No. 23-63 with Anahi Perez to continue to provide support services to the Second District Supervisor as a Field Representative I, updating the salary range and revising the contract end date, retroactively effective September 9, 2023, for an estimated annual cost of $80,570 (Salary - $51,917, Benefits - $28,653).

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this employment contract will not require the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Sufficient appropriation exists within the Second District's 2023-24 budget to fund the costs related to this employment contract and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Staff services to members of the Board of Supervisors (Board) are provided through contractual arrangement, as required by the County Charter.

On February 7, 2023 (Item No. 4), the Board approved Employment Contract No. 23-63 to engage Anahi Perez as a Field Representative I. The recommended Amendment No. 1 will update the salary range and revise the contract end date to align with all Second District employment contract end dates, retroactively effective September 9, 2023.

Either party may terminate the contract at any time without cause with a 14-day prior written notice to the other party. The contract may be terminated for just cause immediately by the County.
