RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 22-1085 with Golden Star Technology, Inc. to update and standardize all conference room equipment at the hospital, adding additional conference equipment, and increasing the contract amount by $600,000 from not-to-exceed $1,600,000 to not-to-exceed $2,200,000 with no change in the contract term of November 16, 2022 through November 15, 2027.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The total cost of $2,200,000 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurance, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2024-25 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Amendment to Agreement No. 22-1083 (Agreement) with Golden Star Technology, Inc. (Golden Star) will allow ARMC to upgrade and standardize the equipment in all of the conference rooms at the hospital for staff training as well as the education of employees, medical staff and medical students.
