RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Authorize the Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase order to Netsync Network Solutions, Inc. for the purchase of video systems for secured visitation booths, including installation and professional services, in a total aggregate amount not to exceed $579,976, for a three-year period effective upon the live operation of the video systems, estimated to be August 1, 2024.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Costs in the amount of $579,976 for the video systems installed in secured visitation booths will be funded with Fiscal Year 2023-24 Providing Access and Transforming Health (PATH) - Justice-Involved Capacity Building Program funding awarded to the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator (Department) by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
California State Assembly Bill 133 (Chapter 143, Statutes 2021) authorized PATH funding to support the planning processes related to the implementation of the full suite of statewide California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) initiatives, such as the Justice-Involved Capacity Building Program that builds on the successful work conducted under Whole Person Care. The PATH Grant builds capacity and expands access to necessary pre-release and post-release services under CalAIM.
