RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Agreement with Optum360 LLC, including non-standard terms, for licenses, support, and maintenance for software that manages revenue cycle issues associated with medical billing coding and compliance, in the amount of $139,200 for a five-year period retroactively effective May 1, 2023 through April 30, 2028.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the cost of $139,200 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2022-23 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This agreement with Optum360, LLC (Optum) will provide ARMC with ongoing services for Chargemaster maintenance and billing compliance. Approval of this agreement will be retroactive to May 1,2023, due to a delay in negotiations of the new five-year agreement. The vendor did not accept the County standard insurance provisions, which resulted in non-standard terms and additional internal review of the agreement by County Risk Management.
