RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Revenue Affiliation Agreement with Western University of Health Sciences, including non-standard terms, to provide physician assistant students with clinical training and experience at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, reimbursed at a rate of $350 per student per week, for the term of five years from the date of full execution.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) will receive reimbursement at a rate of $350 per week for each physician assistant student who participates in a clinical rotation. Actual reimbursement will vary depending on the number of students participating. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in ARMC 2025-26 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This Revenue Affiliation Agreement (Agreement) will allow ARMC to provide clinical training for physician assistant students from Western in the field of anesthesiology, diagnostic radiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, neurology, neurosurgery, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry, surgery, and vascular surgery. In turn, these students will assist in the delivery of patient care at ARMC under supervision of the medical staff.
