RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Accept a grant award (State Award No. 2136BASE00/2136FSIE00) from the California Department of Public Health, Tuberculosis Control Branch, in the amount of $384,121, for continued support of tuberculosis prevention and control activities, for the period of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.
2. Designate the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Chief Executive Officer, or Director of the Department of Public Health to execute any subsequent non-substantive amendments in relation to the grant award on behalf of the County, subject to review by County Counsel.
3. Direct the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Chief Executive Officer, or Director of the Department of Public Health to transmit all documents and amendments in relation to this grant award to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors within 30 days of execution.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Tuberculosis (TB) Control Branch does not require a local match for this grant award. The total grant award of $384,121 consists of a base award ($362,451) and food, shelter, incentives, and enablers (FSIE) allocation ($21,670) and is comprised of federal and state funding. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Public Health's (DPH) 2021-22 budget.
