Recommendation
Approve the non-financial Memorandum of Understanding with Holmusk Technologies, Inc. to establish the terms and conditions under which the mConnect Major Depressive Disorder Digital Solution Study will be conducted, for the period of March 1, 2022 through February 28, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The non-financial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has no financial obligation between San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) and Holmusk Technologies, Inc. (Holmusk).

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
DBH is responsible for providing mental health and substance use disorder services to San Bernardino County residents experiencing major mental illness and/or substance use disorders. During a recent tour of DBH programs, the Director of the California Health & Human Services Agency recommended DBH's participation in Johnson & Johnson's mobile application study to help treat patients with a Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), a serious mood disorder that interferes with daily life.

Holmusk, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, has developed mConnect, a patient mobile application and clinician dashboard solution, which will be utilized at no cost by DBH during the three-year mConnect MDD Digital Solution Study project period. Thi...
