RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, approve Amendment No. 1 to Revenue Agreement 19-424 with Gold'n West Surplus that retroactively extends the contract for electronic waste disposition services an additional three months (from July 1, 2020 through September 30, 2020) and provides the Fire Chief with authority to terminate the agreement before the end of the extended term.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). In accordance with this amendment, Gold'n West Surplus will continue to reimburse San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCFPD) for the provision of electronic waste (E-Waste) disposition services at the rate of $.15 per pound for Cathode Ray Tubes/LCD screens and at no cost/reimbursement for all other E-Waste. Based on the actual amount received from this contractor in 2019-20, SBCFPD is estimating reimbursements of approximately $3,200 per month during this contract extension period. Revenue pertaining to this agreement is included in SBCFPD's 2020-21 budget.
