Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Flood Control District, approve Amendment No. 1 to Memorandum of Understanding No. 18-19 with the City of Twentynine Palms to extend the term to January 9, 2043.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The San Bernardino County Flood Control District (District) costs associated with this amendment are limited to administrative costs related to the approval of this amendment. Development, operation, and maintenance of the proposed extension of the existing recreational multi-use community trail (Trail) segment will be at the sole expense of the City of Twentynine Palms (City). Although the District will not receive a fee from the City for allowing the use of the District's right-of-way for the trail, the District will benefit from the reduced maintenance costs in the area of common use for the trail segment and County residents will recognize the recreational and health benefits of the trail. Sufficient appropriation has been included in the District's 2020-21 budget (1960002540).
