RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve revenue agreement with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (State Agreement No. 25-0412-000-SG) to continue to provide inspection services related to the High-Risk Pest Exclusion Program, on behalf of the State, from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, for a maximum reimbursement of $40,245.51.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The revenue agreement in the amount of $40,245.51 is being provided by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), Plant Health and Pest Prevention Services/Pest Exclusion (PHPPS/Pest Exclusion). Sufficient appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures (AWM) 2025-26 budget. Services, per the revenue agreement, will be provided by existing AWM staff.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
AWM currently performs inspection services related to the High-Risk Pest Exclusion Program, which includes the enforcement of plant quarantines, inspection of packages at parcel carrier terminals and the phytosanitary certification of exports throughout San Bernardino County.
