RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Accept the Joint Conference Committee meeting minutes of a meeting held on June 20, 2024.
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to maintain as confidential the closed session documents of the meeting minutes pursuant to Evidence Code section 1157 et seq.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the acceptance of the Joint Conference Committee (JCC) meeting minutes are non-financial in nature.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
On March 22, 1994, the Board of Supervisors (Board) established a JCC to serve as a communication mechanism between the Board as the governing body of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) and the medical staff of ARMC.

The JCC held a meeting on June 20, 2024. The minutes from this meeting of the JCC were approved by the JCC members at the meeting held on September 25, 2024, and the minutes are now presented to the Board for approval.

Discussion items at these meetings included updates on the ARMC facility, medical staff issues, and other issues as recorded on the meeting minutes.

Pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 1461, reports of hospital audit or quality assurance committees may be ordered to be held in closed session. Documents pertaining to the closed session portion of the JCC meeting are available for review by the governing body, but shall otherwise be maintained as confidential by the Clerk of the Board pursuan...
