RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Adopt Ordinance to grant a revenue franchise to the San Gabriel Valley Water Company, which was introduced on March 24, 2026, Item No. 76.
2. Approve Franchise Agreement with San Gabriel Valley Water Company, commencing on the effective date of the ordinance granting the franchise and terminating 25 years thereafter.

Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). This item has no Net County Cost and will allow the County to proceed with granting a water revenue franchise to San Gabriel Valley Water Company (SGVWC).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The ordinance to grant a water revenue franchise to SGVWC was introduced on March 24, 2026 (Item No. 76). The recommendation before the Board of Supervisors will adopt the ordinance and approve the franchise agreement on the consent calendar.
