RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Adopt Resolution declaring, in lieu of election, the uncontested candidates Louis Fiorino and Harry Hatch as the winners of the 2022 San Bernardino County Employees' Retirement Association Board of Retirement Election for the General Member (3rd seat) and Alternate Retired Member, respectively.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Registrar of Voters estimated cost of $14,190 to conduct the Retired Member (8th seat) election will be fully reimbursed by the San Bernardino County Employees' Retirement Association (SBCERA).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The terms of one General Member (3rd seat), the Retired Member (8th seat) and the Alternate Retired Member expire on December 31, 2022. The General Member is elected from the General Members of SBCERA. The Retired Member and Alternate Retired Member are elected from the Retired Members of SBCERA. The terms of office for each of these three Members shall be a full term of three years, commencing January 1, 2023.
Per SBCERA General Policy No. 006 (Board of Retirement Elections), "if only one Member has been duly nominated in accordance with the rules established for the holding of the election, no election will be held in that office.
