RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Accept the 2023 Update to the Airport Layout Plan Drawing Set with Narrative Report for Chino Airport.
2. Authorize the Chair of the Board of Supervisors to execute the 2023 Update to the Airport Layout Plan Drawing Set referenced in Recommendation No. 1
3. Authorize the Director of Airports to submit the 2023 Update to the Airport Layout Plan Drawing Set with Narrative Report for Chino Airport to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Approval of this item will not require the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). There is no cost to accept and submit the 2003 Update to the Airport Layout Plan Drawing Set with Narrative Report for Chino Airport (Updated ALP).

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
An airport layout plan (ALP) is a set of drawings that provides a graphic representation of the long-term development plan for an airport. An ALP is required to secure Airport Improvement Program (AIP) funds from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for eligible projects and developments shown on the ALP.

On December 6, 2011 (Item No. 7), the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors (Board) approved a draft Master Plan for Chino Airport, which is a comprehensive study of the airport and typically describes short-term, medium-term, and long-term plans for airport development.
