Recommendation
Authorize a correction to the 2020-21 budget, for the purchases of fixed assets, to correct a clerical error in the stated quantities needed for purchase, as detailed in attachment A.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the previously budgeted total amounts were correct, but the stated quantities were incorrect. The fixed assets are funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval of this item will allow Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) to correct a clerical error in the stated quantities needed, for previously budgeted items that were approved by the Board of Supervisors on June 9, 2020 (Item No. 67). The Fixed Asset Items listed in attachment A were budgeted correctly in terms of the dollar amount based on the quantities needed by ARMC, but the stated quantities had a clerical error in that the quantity was stated as one. This item will correct the quantities to the correct number of products needed. County Policy 11-04 requires that unbudgeted fixed assets of $10,000-unit value or more by approved by the Board of Supervisors.
